[00:00:01] If there were a way that would allow you to manifest your goals, dreams and desires faster and easier than ever before, if there were a way that you could become happier and more at peace than ever before, if there were a way where you could get people to love and like you, like you've never experienced before, and have relationships more deep and satisfying than ever before, you probably want to know what that is, right? Well, today I'm going to share with you the secret of living. The secret to wealth creation, the secret to happiness and joy, and the secret to manifesting all your goals, dreams and desires. He's built multimillion dollar companies. His explosive books on health and wealth have sold over 60 million copies now. The Kevin Trudeau Show. They don't want you to know.
[00:00:58] It's a secret that I did not invent. It's been used for thousands of years and it's been used by the wealthiest people on the planet. It's something that is not taught in virtually any book on success. When you read books on how to manifest goals, dreams and desires, how to use the law of attraction, how to get the things in life you want. When you read books on wealth creation, how to make money, how to invest properly, all these things about increasing wealth, increasing income, making more money, nobody mentions the most important ingredient to success, to wealth creation, to making money. Nobody mentions it.
[00:01:37] But it is the single most important ingredient. And if it's missing, it's going to be very difficult for you to make lots of money, achieve great financial success, and most importantly, achieve deep joy and happiness and bliss within. I was just with 40 guys out in California for a week. We spent a week together at a facility called the Golden Door Resort. It's actually a spa resort, retreat center, health center, exercise center. It's hard to define. It's been around for over 50 years.
[00:02:11] It looks like you're in Japan. It's like a Japanese facility. And you go in and there's these big golden door gates that open up. And once you get in, it's, I don't know, a couple thousand acres. And you're in this little enclave. You never leave the facility. It's only 40 guests and it's a one week program. You show up on a Sunday and you leave the following Sunday. Most of the year it's women only, six weeks a year it's men only, and there's a couple weeks where it's couples. I've been going for over 30 years. There are guys there that have been going for over 50 years. There are guys there that have visited the facility for a one week program over 130 times. That's 130 weeks they've been there in their lifetime. And there were guys that I was with that had been there 70 times, 90 times, 50 times, 40 times and so forth. I've been there, I think, well over 30 times.
[00:03:06] But these guys are incredibly wealthy people. When I was there, there were 40 of us and we were kind of doing a little calculation. The combined net worth was well over one trillion, trillion US dollars. Of the gentlemen that were at that facility a couple weeks before, there was one guy who is the founder of one of the largest hedge funds in the world. And they control probably $750 billion. And this one guy controls $750 billion, which means he's connected with most of the wealthy people on the planet because they put money into his hedge fund and he invests and so forth.
[00:03:47] These people are incredibly wealthy. And as we were chatting over the week, we talked about success principles and common denominators of success. I was asking them, how many, have you ever read a book like Think and Grow Rich or the Magic of Believing or the Magic of Thinking Big or Ask and It Is Given by Esther Hicks, the Teachings of Abraham or How to Win Friends and Influence People? And interestingly enough, most of those guys had never read any of those books, with the exception of how to Win Friends and Influence People. They read that book. Most guys were absolutely spot on advocates of Dale Carnegie, the Dale Carnegie course. Because back in our day, we used to actually take the whole Dale Carnegie course. It was a course you took once a week for like four months or something.
[00:04:42] It's based on the book how to Win Friends and Influence People. But taking the Dale Carnegie course was something that in a lot of companies and big corporations, it was required for executives to take that course because you needed to know how to interact with people. So that was the one thing that everybody did because they understood the importance of interacting with people. Because God or the universe works only through people. Yeah, it works through animals and nature, but the way life works is everything works through people. Everything works through people. Write that down. Everything works through people. And unless you can connect with people, unless you have people opening up to you, unless you have affinity with people, nothing's going to work. So that was the one thing. But all these other things, all these other books they hadn't read, they hadn't gone to any Tony Robbins seminars or Joe Dispenza seminars or Joe Vitale seminars or any of the other Success gurus that are out there. They hadn't gone to any of these seminars.
[00:05:42] They were all members of a private society. They were all members of a secret society, effectively, or a private association or a club. Whether it was the Harvard Alumni Club or a very prominent, exclusive country club or a secret society like Masons or the Brotherhood or Skull and Bones or Bohemian Grove or Council on Foreign Relations. So that was another common denominator. So we talked about these common denominators. But there was one common denominator. When I brought it up, everyone lit up like a Christmas tree. Because they all said that this is the missing key to success. It's the missing key to opening up the windows of heaven. So that blessings pour into your life in ways that you can't even imagine. And that secret, everyone, that secret, the secret to all living, the secret to living, the secret to success. The one most important ingredient. And there are a lot of important ingredients, but there's one that is the most significant important ingredient which makes everything else work easier and faster. And that is giving.
[00:06:56] Giving.
[00:06:57] Do you realize that the wealthiest people on the planet give a higher percentage of their income and net worth than people that are average income earners? A higher percentage. Not just a higher amount. A higher percentage of their income and net worth. And you will say, well, they can afford it.
[00:07:27] But what you don't know is that they started their giving when they were broke, when they were first starting off.
[00:07:38] That is what you don't understand.
[00:07:41] You think that when they started making money, that's when they started giving?
[00:07:48] No. They started giving the first time they ever made any income. John D. Rockefeller, the richest man on the planet. Probably the richest man of all time.
[00:08:03] In today's dollars worth almost $1 trillion. And back then, it wasn't just in stock. It was in mostly cash. So I don't think you can compare his wealth to anybody else. Even today. Elon Musk and Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. Most of their wealth is in stock, which you can't really trade. Because if they tried to convert that stock to cash, then their wealth would be cut in half because the stock would crash. But John D. Rockefeller, arguably the richest man of all time, said that when he got a job, and I believe it was selling newspapers, and he made $1.50, his first paycheck, his first income. He made $1.50 for the week. He gave 30% of that away.
[00:08:53] 30%. And he said the reason is he's a Baptist. He's not Jewish. He's a Baptist. But As a Baptist, he read the Bible and believed in giving charity.
[00:09:04] And in the Christian and Jewish Bibles, whether it's the Old Testament, the first five books, the Torah, the Pentateuch, the books of Moses, the first five books, whether it's the prophets, whether it's the New Testament, the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, whether it's the epistles, the letters that Paul wrote in all of those writings, and also in the Quran, and also in the Mahabharata from India and the Vedas and the Ramayama, all the texts. And even in the Hopi Indian tribes and the Zulu tribes of Africa and the aboriginal tribes, all of these texts. And even in writings in Egypt, ancient Egypt, ancient Sumeria, if you look at the Aztec writings, the Mayan writings, they all talk about giving.
[00:09:58] And giving falls into a couple categories.
[00:10:04] Primarily in the Christian Bible, it falls into two categories. One is giving a tithe, or 10%.
[00:10:13] And this came about when God said, look, there's going to be one tribe of the Hebrews, Levi, the Levites, they will be the priests, which means they're not going to earn an income. They're going to be in charge of promoting God, they're going to manage the temple, they're going to do the rituals, they're going to do the ritualistic prayers, they're going to make sure that the people are aware of my commandments and my rules and my regulations and to help people live a better life, they will do the sacrifices, they will basically do all of the spiritual work for all of the Jews, but they're not going to earn an income. So therefore God says everybody else, you have to pay a tax.
[00:11:08] You have to take 10% of everything you earn, 10% of your crops, 10% of your livestock. If you have 10 brand new calves that are born this year, 10%, which is one, one has to be given to the Levites, you have to give it to God. And the Levites will then use it for either sacrifice or for their own subsistence.
[00:11:31] This was the rule. It was called a tithe giving 10%.
[00:11:35] The Mormons follow the tithing rule.
[00:11:40] Seven Day Adventists are very particular on that as well, and other Christian groups.
[00:11:46] And when John D. Rockefeller was growing up, he was taught you must give a tithe. But that is like an automatic, that's a requirement. You're not doing anything special if you give a tithe. You're just doing what you're required to do because it's like a tax.
[00:12:06] And in the Bible it then talks about offerings, sometimes the word alms, a L M S is also used.
[00:12:17] It's usually tithes and translated into English. Offerings. Tithes, which is the 10%, and offerings, which is anything over and above. And in the Christian Bible and in the Old and New Testament and all the other books, it talks about giving to charity, giving to the poor, giving to the needy, giving to the underprivileged. It's giving. It's all about giving.
[00:12:46] The average person doesn't know anything about the importance of giving and how it works and what the spiritual promises are that if you give. Because the spiritual promises in all of these books say that if you give. And there's a couple rules. If you give with a cheerful heart, willingly, gleefully, it says, God loves a cheerful giver. Somebody that doesn't do it begrudgingly or feel like they have a gun to their head, or feel pressure and feel regret for doing it. Here's some money that's not a cheerful giver. Somebody who gives gleefully. That's a rule. Another rule is somebody who gives and actually sacrifices. There was one passage in the Bible where some of the wealthy people in town went into the temple and in a very flamboyant way, gave a huge amount of money to the temple. So that all. Everybody saw that this wealthy man was giving all this money. He was making a big spectacle of it. They applauded. I'm sure he got a little plaque put up. He maybe had a dinner for him because he gave such a large contribution.
[00:14:05] But he was wealthy, he could afford it. It's not going to affect his lifestyle. He gave a lot of money, a lot of gold and silver, but it wasn't going to affect his life at all.
[00:14:14] And then an old, poor widow walked in and she opened up her little purse and she had two little coins. Two shekels, just two. And that was all the money she had in the world. Nothing else. Nothing at home, nothing in the bank, nothing in stocks and bonds. She didn't have any other assets. She was a poor widow woman with only two shekels. And that's all she had in the world. And that shekel is like a penny today. And she took one of them out and she dropped it in the charity box and walked away. And Jesus said, who is greater in the eyes of God?
[00:14:56] Think about that. She gave half of everything she owned.
[00:15:01] She sacrificed. That means she may not even have a meal tomorrow. The wealthy man, his lifestyle wasn't going to change at all. So one of the rules when you give is you must make a little bit of a sacrifice. You don't put yourself in financial pressure when you give, but you have to make a sacrifice when you follow these rules, which I'm going to outline in a moment. The Scripture is very clear of what the benefits are. The benefits are the windows of heaven will open and blessings will pour upon you so great you won't even have room to take it all in.
[00:15:36] And in another chapter, another verse in the Bible in Deuteronomy, it says that if you follow these commandments, one of which is tithing and giving, offerings, offerings, God says the following blessings are going to overtake you and consume you and all of your ancestors. And it says, blessed you'll be in the city, you'll be wealthy, you'll be healthy, you'll have offspring, you'll be blessed. You'll be blessed. You'll be blessed with food, you'll be blessed with health. You'll be blessed with money, you'll be blessed with prosperity. Everything you put your hand to will prosper. No weapon formed against you will prosper. These are all the quotes that are in various parts of the Bible, if you follow the rules on giving.
[00:16:22] Well, John D. Rockefeller, when he was poor and 100%, broke his first job selling newspapers. He got $1.50. He said he gave 30% of it away.
[00:16:33] And he said in his writings that he gave at least 30% of every dollar he earned for the rest of his life. And later in life, it was a lot more than that. And he said. And he said this giving is the single one thing that I can point to that allowed me to create the wealth that I created in my life. It's a spiritual principle that absolutely 100% works.
[00:17:06] When you give, you are virtually planting a seed into the universe. And the Scriptures say that that seed will come back to you, and it will come back 100 to a thousand fold. Minimum. Minimum.
[00:17:25] Giving is planting seeds, and it opens up the windows of heaven.
[00:17:31] Blessings pour into your life. Things start going your way, you become lucky. People like you.
[00:17:39] Magic happens when you give. And I remember I learned this in the Brotherhood, and I would give. And in my case, it was very simple. I gave to my uncle, but it really wasn't giving because I was purchasing training.
[00:17:55] So when I was with my uncle, you can call him a mentor or my sponsor in the Brotherhood, and I wanted the next money process or the next relationship process, or I wanted the next level of training that the Brotherhood offered. He would tell me, it costs this much money, and then I would go, I would earn the money, and I would Virtually give it all to him.
[00:18:17] Little did I know that when he took the money, number one, he gave a percentage of it up to the Brotherhood leadership so that they could do their work and maintain the Brotherhood to cover the overheads. That was number one. Next, he took a little for himself, but it was surprisingly little. And the rest he gave to charity. I never knew that until later.
[00:18:44] I always thought, you know, he's gonna. He's just investing this or something because he wasn't getting a bigger house, he wasn't getting a bigger car, he wasn't getting nicer clothes. Didn't look like he was spending any of this money. I thought he was just investing it and doing business deals. I didn't really know, but I didn't ask, I didn't care.
[00:19:00] But that was kind of a form of giving. But I was also getting something in return. Pure giving is when you give and you get nothing in return.
[00:19:07] And we were talking about this in one of the training lessons about giving without getting anything in return.
[00:19:14] And it was a little strange to me because I understood that you give and you get something in return. That's called an even exchange. And you have to have an even exchange. Don't expect to get something from anybody without giving them something of equal value.
[00:19:29] This, by the way, let me just digress for a second, is loser mentality. And many of you, because you write comments either on the Telegram channel for the fan club, the Kevin Trudeau fan club, or you write comments here, and you're an absolute 100% loser, okay? And I'm telling you that you are an absolute 100% loser. When you say, how come I don't get this for free? How come I have to pay for that? When you say something like, how come I have to pay for the money processes? How come I have to pay for the relationship processes? How come I have to pay to become a member of the Global Information Network? How come I have to pay to become a partner in the FBAN club? How come he doesn't just do it for free? You are an absolute loser.
[00:20:16] Do you go into a McDonald's? Because I know that's where you eat, by the way, with that mentality, do you go into a McDonald's and say, how come you don't give me the hamburger for free?
[00:20:25] How come you don't give me the hamburger for, how come I have to pay for the hamburger?
[00:20:29] No, you don't say that. And by the way, do you work for free? Do you work at your job for free? Or do you Demand money for your time.
[00:20:40] So, number one, you have to have an exchange.
[00:20:47] But if you won't give money for something of value, you're not even going to consider giving because you're an absolute loser.
[00:20:58] There was a guy who wrote something in one of the comments, because I read all the comments.
[00:21:05] I read the comment and it said, when I was talking about relationships in a previous show, and I said, men have to have confidence. And this idiot loser.
[00:21:16] And I say that because I felt the same way once.
[00:21:19] I was a loser too.
[00:21:22] And if you're a loser, by the way, you can be a winner.
[00:21:28] Make a decision. You can be a winner because you got what it takes.
[00:21:34] So this loser writes, it's easy to have confidence when you have a lot of money.
[00:21:44] Back in 1979, I went and saw a very wealthy guy, multimillionaire, and he was giving a little lecture. It was a private lecture.
[00:21:54] And afterwards I had heard that they were going to Denny's to have some late night food. And it was about midnight and. And Denny's at that time was open late or 24 hours. It was in Massachusetts.
[00:22:08] So I followed them to the Denny's. I knew where it was and I wasn't part of the group, but I wanted to listen to this guy.
[00:22:16] So when they sat down, I just sat in a table right next to them.
[00:22:23] And as they were talking, they saw me and they recognized me from the group and they invited me to move the table over.
[00:22:31] And I said, you know, is there a secret in your mind of success? And he says, yeah, you have to have confidence.
[00:22:39] You have to have confidence in yourself.
[00:22:42] And I said, well, what do you mean? He goes, well, he says, when you walk into a place like this, you have to walk in like you own it. You have to have the attitude that, like you own it, you have to have that confidence. I says, well, that's easy for you to say. You're rich.
[00:23:00] And he was about to say, you're a loser. But he had a little bit of kindness in his heart.
[00:23:07] And he says, kevin, he says, money is not going to give you the attitude.
[00:23:15] The attitude and confidence is what gives you the money.
[00:23:20] You think that once you get money, you'll have the attitude and the confidence. But in reality, you have to have the attitude and the confidence first before the money will overcome.
[00:23:33] Think about that.
[00:23:36] Think about that hard.
[00:23:39] So there is a spiritual principle of giving.
[00:23:42] And when you give cheerfully with a little bit of sacrifice and you give away, magic happens. So I was taught this and I said, where can I Learn about this concept.
[00:23:57] And back then, we didn't have the Internet. You had to go to the library to read a book about John D. Rockefeller. And I said, read a book, read Andrew Carnegie's biography, read John D. Rockefeller, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Tesla. And you'll see that they're all massive, massive givers. And they started giving when they were broke. And so I did, I started reading all these things.
[00:24:21] And then my uncle said, you need to go to this meeting. It's Sunday night. Here's the address.
[00:24:29] They're going to be talking about the power of giving.
[00:24:33] Okay. I don't ask a lot. When my uncle, mentor, coach, sponsor tells me to do something, you know, I'm in the brotherhood. I trust these men and women with my life. They're giving me information and training my mind how to control my mind, how to see into multiple dimensions, how, you know, just magical abilities. So when they say something, I do it. So I drove to Bellricka, Massachusetts, and I. I'm looking at the address and it's a church, but it's Sunday night, there's no church service going on. So I'm thinking at all they probably rent out the church for some meeting.
[00:25:15] So I go in and it wasn't a lot of people there, maybe 30, 40 people, but it's a church. And this guy named Don Long gets up and, you know, I came from a very conservative background when it came to churches, and I'd never been to an evangelical church.
[00:25:38] So they come in and all of a sudden the first thing they start doing is everybody stands up and everyone starts raising their hand. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. And I'm sitting in the middle of the pew and there's people to the left and the right of me, and I'm not. I stand up, but I'm not doing this. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And I'm like, oh, God, there's all these crazy holy rollers, all these wacky born again Christians. Oh, my God. They're going to be baptized in the Holy Ghost and the Holy Spirit. They're going to be talking in tongues.
[00:26:12] What did they send me to? They're singing all these songs and I'm trying to escape, but I can't escape.
[00:26:20] So we sit down and I'm like, I'm stuck. I hope this service doesn't go very long. And Don Long, the preacher, the minister, the speaker, whatever he was, says he sees that I'm like a new guy because everybody else has obviously been there a bunch of times. So I'm the new guy. And if I can see. Don Long looks at me and goes, ooh, we have a new. We get some new meat. We get a new guy here. So Don Long says, I'm not here to tell you anything tonight. I'm going to talk about the power of giving and how giving is going to make you unbelievably successful. But I'm not going to give you any of my opinions. All I'm going to do. And he held up his Bible and he says, I'm just going to tell you what God said about it, and if you want to disagree or argue with him, be my guest.
[00:27:12] And I thought, I'll listen to this guy.
[00:27:17] And he went through and he talked about the power of giving and how giving is the secret to wealth creation, to making money, to joy and happiness, and to having wonderful friendships and relationships. And he read all of these scriptures out of the Bible. And I'm thinking, I never heard of that scripture. I never heard of that scripture. I never heard of that scripture. I never heard of that scripture. And he explained the history of the scripture, like who was writing it, who were they writing it to? What was the context of it? And I'm just sitting there fascinated. And I don't know how long he talked, maybe an hour or something, or an hour and a half. And he talked about, God loves a cheerful giver. And you have to sacrifice and you have to follow what God is leading you to do. You can't out give God. But then he also said, but never put yourself in financial pressure. Don't give your rent money away. Don't give the money you need to pay the electric bill, but you can sacrifice. You don't have to eat steak. You can give money and eat some rice and beans and some tuna fish. That's very healthy and nutritious. Save money there, but make a sacrifice. Stop going golfing. Make a sacrifice. Sell the golf clubs. Make a sacrifice. Back then he said, sell the color tv. You don't need three of them in your house. All you need is one. Sell two of them. So he was saying, make a sacrifice, but don't put yourself in financial pressure. And I'm thinking, this is reasonable. This makes logical sense. And he was given all these stories. So at the end he says, and now we're going to practice giving, right? He said, I'm going to practice giving.
[00:28:59] He said, we're going to pass a plate around. And I said, ah, boy, here comes the close.
[00:29:07] Here comes the sales pitch. This is great. This guy's good. So he passes out, the plate's coming down. It's a basket, like a basket, and people are throwing cash in there.
[00:29:18] So I reach in my pocket and I got a water bills, because I got some money back then.
[00:29:25] And I'm thinking, what do I do with this?
[00:29:31] I got a water bills, and I go, what do I do with this?
[00:29:35] And right in here I had this sense, give it all away. This either works or it doesn't work, and you'll find out. Test it. Test it. I kept on hearing it and I heard it was almost like God telling me, test me.
[00:29:54] Just test me. And that was one of the scriptures, by the way.
[00:30:00] There's actually a scripture in the book of Malachi.
[00:30:04] And in the book of Malachi, where God is yelling at the people because the people are starving and they're wondering why. And they talk to God and they said, hey, God, we're starving. What's going on? And God actually speaks to them and he says, well, you're cheating me. You're stealing from me. And they said, how are we stealing from you? He says, in your tithes and offerings, you stopped giving them. You stopped giving them because you said you needed that to feed yourselves. So you forgot the rule. That's why you're hurt. If you don't plant seed, you're not going to get a harvest. You can't eat your seed corn. And God says to him, you are eating your seed corn. You're not planting seed, you're not giving tithes, and you're not giving offerings. The tithe is 10%. You stop doing that and you stop giving more than 10% because you said, we need this grain and food, so we can't sacrifice it. We can't give it away. We need it to eat, to survive. But when you sacrifice it and give it away, you're planting seed into soil. And then next season you'll get a big harvest. If you don't plant seed this season, next season you're going to be starving. You're not going to have any food. That's why if you don't give now, you're not going to get anything. Two to three to four to five years from now, you're planting seeds. He pointed this out and he said, God says.
[00:31:22] God says you're cursed with curses because you're not tithing and giving offerings. You've defrauded me because you stopped giving me the tithes and offerings. He's really pissed and he says, test me. Test me now.
[00:31:39] If you just test me out, bring your tithes and pay me first and test me and see if I won't open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so much that you won't even have room to take it in.
[00:31:50] And anybody who tries to hurt you, I'll rebuke them. No one's going to be able to touch you. You'll be blessed.
[00:31:56] Everything you put your hand to will prosper. So he pointed that out, and then he asked for the thing. And so I hear God, like, saying that, and I'm thinking, am I just repeating what he said, or is this, you know, I'm reading the energy. And I had that money, and I worked hard for this money, and I had plans for this money. I had plans. And some of the plans I had. I was a young single man in 1979, and I said, you know, I got a couple dates this weekend, and I have plans. I know the restaurants I'm going. I know the champagne I'm going to be drinking, and I'm going to be wining and dining the ladies. I'm a single guy. So let me. I got plans for this.
[00:32:42] The basket comes and I take it, and I'm thinking, what the hell? I'm young enough. I can recoup, I can recover.
[00:32:52] I got my rent paid. I got my car payment paid. I got enough gas money.
[00:32:56] So I'm actually okay. I'm not in financial pressure, but I am going to sacrifice. I have to cancel my dates or take them out for a bologna sandwich.
[00:33:08] So I'm about to put the money in, and my hand will not let go of the cash. It will not let go of the cash. And it's that proverbial. You get the devil on one side and the angel on the other side talking to you. And the devil is like, don't be stupid. Don't give that money away. What are you, dumb? Think about the girls this weekend. Think about what you're going to do with the money. You worked hard for that money, and angel's going, trust, have faith, Test God. He will open up the windows of heaven. You are planting a seed into the universe, and that seed will give you a return 100 times, 1,000 times, 10,000 times. Your future is in your hands. And when you give that money away today, you're opening up the blessings for decades in the future because you will release attachment to money, and you will start trusting God as your source of supply. And I'm hearing this, and I let go of the money. And the moment I let go of the money and it went into that basket, it was like I was free.
[00:34:23] It was like I could see. It was like somebody turned the light on. I had tingles all over my body. I had goosebumps. I had this surge of energy come up my spine, out the top of my crown chakra. I was like, oh, my God, I did it. I did it. I did it. I let go of attachment to money, and I actually trusted God or the universe as the source of my supply. It isn't money, the source of my supply. The source of money is not money itself. The source is the universe. And you can't outgive the universe. It will always supply your needs.
[00:35:06] And I was blown away.
[00:35:08] Blown away. And I thought, I know I'm going to be blessed, and it may not be this week or next week or next month, and I don't care.
[00:35:19] I paid to feel like this, and it was worth it. I'm free. I am free. I will never worry about money ever again, no matter what. Because I know that I have a source of unlimited prosperity and abundance in the universe. I know it. I can feel it. And for the rest of my life, I've never worried about money. Whether I had it or didn't. I was always in the same state. And the blessings have always come in, sometimes at the last minute, but it was never a worry. And I was never attached to things. It gives you liberation and freedom beyond all human comprehension. When you trust the universe. When you trust the universe.
[00:36:09] And so I started studying some of this stuff on giving. And I'm just going to give you a couple things here to think about.
[00:36:16] And so here's some of the rules. In Matthew the fifth chapter, Jesus actually says, if it should happen, therefore, that while you're presenting your offerings upon the altar. Now, first off, he's talking to all these people, and he's not saying, by the way, by a show of hands, how many people actually give offerings? Anybody here?
[00:36:38] He knew that everybody did. It was something that was a requirement. It was something that everybody did. But he says, but when you're giving offerings, and if you're going to the altar and giving your offering, and right there, you remember that your brother has any grievance against you or you have a grievance against your brother, leave the offering, don't give it yet, and go first and make peace with your brother, and then come back and present your offering. So this is another rule. If you want your giving to produce results in your life, to produce blessings in your life, who do you have a grievance against? And who has a grievance against you.
[00:37:19] Who have you not forgiven?
[00:37:22] You have to let that go. This is a critical element in the ingredient list of giving.
[00:37:29] So the rules for giving is, number one, ideally, give 10%, which is a tithe, and a little bit more, which is an offering. But if you can't start there, start with anything. That's rule number one. Number two, when you give, you should never put yourself in financial pressure. But it's okay to make a sacrifice. And you should make a sacrifice when you give.
[00:37:52] Okay, next, when you give, ask yourself, is there somebody that I have a grievance against that I haven't forgiven? You have to forgive them. And is there somebody that has a grievance with you? Try to make amends. If you do that, your giving is going to produce better results.
[00:38:10] Then he goes on to say the basic rules of interacting, which we forget all the time.
[00:38:23] If someone strikes you on your right cheek, turn and give them the other.
[00:38:28] Which means when somebody tries to hurt you, don't attack back.
[00:38:34] If anyone wishes to sue you in court and take away your shirt, let them have your robe also or your coat.
[00:38:45] This is tough, man. But the point is, love people unconditionally, without condition and without exception.
[00:38:54] Whoever compels you to carry a burden for a mile, go with him and carry it for two miles.
[00:39:01] Who does that?
[00:39:03] Whoever asked from you, give to that person.
[00:39:10] And whoever wishes to borrow from you, do not refuse him. Oh, my God. These are tough rules. But if you follow these rules, at least to some degree, and look, you can't make that big jump because these are tough rules. But if you to some degree a little bit better than you are now, your giving is going to produce unbelievable results. Now, there is a book. I'm going to give you a couple books that you should read on giving. Well, first off, you should go to the Kevin Trudeau Fan Club website.
[00:39:41] I have a whole series of lessons on giving. They're the Guru Kev Lessons on giving. You can get them at the Kevin Trudeau Fan Club website or you can go to gurukev.com and get the free Lessons on giving. Highly recommend that the books you could consider reading is, number one, karmic management.
[00:40:09] The next one is the Diamond Cutter. Those are two very, very good books on the art of giving. And the other one is how to solve all your money problems, which is another book which talks a little bit about giving as well.
[00:40:27] And then there's another book called Magnificent Obsession. It was written, I think, in the 20s, maybe 30s.
[00:40:36] It's a novel, and it's a fake story, but not really. It's based on a true story, but it's a fake story. They made a terrible movie called Magnificent Obsession with Rock Hudson. Terrible. Don't bother reading it, watching it, but read the book. The book talks about a guy who uses giving to create unbelievable wealth. And he keeps talking about a scripture. And I'm going to give you this scripture because it gives you the secrets. So here's what it says. So this is again Jesus talking. He says, be careful. It's in the book of Matthew. Be careful concerning your alms or offerings that you give.
[00:41:17] Do not do them in the presence of other men, merely that they can see you give.
[00:41:26] Otherwise you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. In other words, when you give, you don't want to make a show of it. Try to give anonymously or secretly so that other people don't know of your giving. That's a big rule. Therefore, when you give charity, when you give alms, when you give offerings, do not blow a trumpet, just as the hypocrites do in the synagogue and in the marketplaces so that they may be glorified by men by their giving. Truly, I say to you that they already received their reward. And back then, that's what they used to do.
[00:42:05] If I'm giving a big offering, then I would be allowed to blow a trumpet. So everybody's seeing, hey, that guy gives a big. They do it in bars, you know, you give a big tip and then somebody rings the bell, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. And then they point like, this is the guy here. Yeah, I'm the guy.
[00:42:21] Don't do that, because then your giving is not going to produce results. You already got the results. You got the accolades from the people that are there.
[00:42:29] When you give charity or give offerings, let not your left hand know what your right hand is doing. That's just another way of saying, do it secretly.
[00:42:42] Give charity secretly.
[00:42:48] Your Father, who sees in secret, shall reward you in the open.
[00:42:56] Powerful now goes on to talk about praying. And when you pray, don't pray like the hypocrites who like to pray standing in the synagogues or at the street corners so that they may be seen because they've already received their reward. When you pray, enter into the inner chamber and lock your door and pray to your Father, who's in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret will reward you in the open.
[00:43:21] Very, very critical issue here.
[00:43:26] And then, if you remember in the Our Father, in this same chapter, as it goes, On Jesus says, therefore, when you pray, pray like this. Say, our Father who's in heaven, Holy is your name.
[00:43:45] Your kingdom will come, your will will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.
[00:43:53] And then it says, forgive us our offenses in the same way that we have forgiven others our offenses.
[00:44:03] Are you listening?
[00:44:06] For if you forgive men their faults, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men, neither will your Father forgive you.
[00:44:16] And it goes on to say, about all these things, about doing it secretly, not in open.
[00:44:22] Very, very important.
[00:44:24] Now it goes also on to say, ask and it shall be given you seek and you shall find. Knock and it will be opened. Whoever asks, receives. Whoever seeks, finds. And to him who knocks, the door will be open.
[00:44:38] It also goes on to say, I'll give you one more little tidbit. Here it says, give to everyone who asks you, and from him who takes away what is yours, don't demand it back again.
[00:45:01] Again. This is in The Book of St. Luke.
[00:45:06] Give. Now he's talking about giving.
[00:45:12] Give.
[00:45:14] Charity tithes, offering. Give, and it will be given back to you. Good measure, shaken down and running over will they pour into your robe.
[00:45:26] For with the measure that you measure and give, it will be measured back to you.
[00:45:33] The whole point is throughout the Bible, and I got too many. I can read here and in all the other scriptural texts. When you give, you are planting a seed.
[00:45:45] Several things magically happen when you give.
[00:45:49] You are telling the universe that you trust it as your source of supply. You also are telling the universe that you look at money as a renewable resource, that there's enough, that there's an unlimited supply, that it will always be enough. And you understand that giving is planting seeds.
[00:46:14] Throughout my life, I have given. I've learned this secret. I don't talk about it because you're supposed to give in secret. I'll tell a few things now just to help you understand and maybe motivate and encourage you to give.
[00:46:27] And by the way, the first question that always comes up is, kevin, who do I give to? Well, in the old days, you gave to your spiritual person. Your spiritual leader, your guru, your priest, your rabbi, your iman, somebody that was teaching you spiritual things because they usually didn't have a job and they kind of needed the money. So you gave to your local church or synagogue or mosque.
[00:46:53] That's where you gave. And it's perfectly good to give to someone who is feeding you spiritually. That's always, if there's one thing to do, give to the person or organization that's feeding you give. So, for example, years and years and years ago, I would be studying from Yogananda Self Realization Fellowship, and I got the courses every month. And I thought, you know, I'm going to give them some money. So I would donate to that organization. And then when Swami Muktananda and later Guru Mai with the City Yoga Organization, I was going to some of their events and reading some of their books and material that I paid for. But I thought, they're doing good work. Let me send them a donation.
[00:47:49] Then there was a local rabbi that I became friends with, and he was doing good work for the community, and I gave him a donation. And then some of my Christian minister friends on tv, Kenneth Copeland, Oral Roberts and Kenneth Hagin, and also Pat Robinson, I thought, they're doing good work with various organizations and charity work. So I gave them some donations.
[00:48:15] Then there was a local homeless shelter that actually was right behind my apartment, downtown Chicago, in Lincoln Park. And then I saw that they needed. And so I actually bought a lot of coats and socks and I gave it to them. And I'll tell you the story about that. It's very interesting.
[00:48:33] I had a beautiful apartment right in front of the Lake, Lake Michigan, in Lincoln Park, Chicago. And it was gorgeous and so forth. And my Rolls Royce and my Ferrari were parked in the parking garage, which was right across the street in the back. Because this was an old pre war building, it didn't have underground parking. So this pre war building is here. And I had to walk out the back door, cross the street, and it was a parking garage. And that's where I parked my cars. Right Next to the parking garage was a homeless shelter. I didn't know it was a homeless shelter until I was curious one day by seeing all these people that didn't look like they were clothed very well in the winter. They didn't have a lot of coats on. And I inquired and I found out that it was a homeless shelter. Hmm. Okay. So on this particular day, I just find out that it's a homeless shelter. And I decide that I'm going to buy a new car. And one of the cars I'm looking at is the new Maybach.
[00:49:29] So I drive down to the Maybach dealership and I'm thinking, maybe I'll get it. Maybe I'll trade in my Rolls Royce. I'm not sure. I'll probably just get it and add it to my collection. So I drove down and I'm looking at the Maybach. And this is many years ago I can't remember maybe 20, 30 years ago, but the Maybach back then was 430 something thousand dollars back then. I mean it was huge money, it was top of the line and everything. So I get in the car and I'm driving it up and down Lake Shore Drive and I'm driving it around for about a half an hour and I'm thinking, this is a magnificent machine, this is a magnificent vehicle. It's heavy, but it's nimble. The corners, unbelievable. It's smooth as silk. It's really, it's like a super high end Mercedes effectively, but it's higher end than the top of the line Mercedes. It's Maybach, but it's really a Mercedes that's taken to the next level and it's a way better driving car than a Rolls Royce back then and so forth. So I'm driving this and I'm thinking, this is really great. And I got the cash, I actually had the cash to buy it in my safe and I dropped the car off and I'm going to buy the car and I thought, you know, let me think about it, I'm going to go for a little walk around the block here and think about it. So I walk around the block, it's cold and I'm cold and I have my hat on, I got my long cashmere coat on, my silk scarf on, my gloves, and I'm cold. And as I'm walking around cold, even though I'm all dressed up, I'm thinking, you know those guys who were in the homeless place, they didn't have coats.
[00:51:19] I wonder how cold they are.
[00:51:22] And I'm thinking, do I really need this car?
[00:51:27] And as I'm walking around the block, I said, you know something?
[00:51:32] This series of events didn't happen by accident. The fact that it's cold, the fact that I saw these guys outside with nothing, winter coats on, the fact that I found out for the very first time that it was a homeless shelter and the fact that I happen to have the cash and all these things just didn't happen by accident. I go, I can read the writing on the wall. And I said, I'm not going to buy that car. I'm going to use that money and I'm going to basically fund this homeless shelter.
[00:52:03] So I walked back to the homeless shelter, actually took my car back, parked it, walked into the homeless shelter and said, listen, if somebody wanted to give here, what would be a good thing to give? They said, coats, shoes, gloves, hats, long underwear, because these men aren't Going to be here all the time. Many of them have to leave after a while and they're on the street.
[00:52:26] What else do you need?
[00:52:28] They said, socks, shoes, heavy winter coats, gloves, hats, scarfs, underwear and long underwear.
[00:52:42] And obviously food. Any type of frozen meat, like frozen chickens, turkeys, whatever. Any type of canned goods. We can always use something like that. How many guys come in here? And so they would give me the number, Make a long story short, I went, and then I had delivered it, didn't have my name on it. I didn't go in there ever again. I had all these coats delivered, not just for the guys who were there, but for the future. All these different boots and different sizes, socks, loaded the whole place up.
[00:53:16] And interestingly enough, over the next weeks, I would see men throughout the city walking around wearing one of my coats.
[00:53:29] And the feeling that I got was, wow, you know, that guy's warm now. He's got a scarf, he's got gloves. I can see his boots that I bought him. He's got the coat. I go, he's a homeless guy. He's a homeless man. How is he feeling now? Is he feeling loved? Is he feeling cared for? Does he feel like somebody does care for me?
[00:53:50] And it made me feel really good. And the fact that I didn't make a stink about it, I didn't tell anybody. I didn't tell in my office. I didn't tell anybody, anybody. Nobody knew about this for decades. I never really talked about it. It was just my own little thing. But I can tell you that my business has prospered going forward because of my giving. Giving changes everything. And when I was with these 40 guys, as I mentioned a couple weeks ago, they all practiced the art of giving.
[00:54:20] One guy was watching tv and there was this center that he built. It's got his name on it. And he gave it to the community. I don't know how many hundreds of millions of dollars it cost to build, but he built it and he gave it to the community. And then other guys talking about how they started this charity and this foundation and how many tens of millions of dollars they gave. And it was brought up because I was curious about what they do, but they were never discussing it or bragging about it. It was just what they do. It is giving. In many households, the act of giving is taught in the privileged elite class. In the privileged elite class, which you're not a member of. But this is what happens. Little kids 2, 3 years old are taught that every day they have to take some penny or something and deposit it in a charity jar that's in their house. The parents teach the kids right from birth that every day you have to be thinking about the underprivileged, count your blessings for what you have and give to charity. And so they get into the habit right from an early age of putting something in this charity jar every single day.
[00:55:50] Giving is a habit. And giving is something that they do every single day. It's always in their consciousness. It's always in their mind. How can I help? How can I help? How can I help? How can I help? How can I help? How can I help?
[00:56:07] Giving is magical.
[00:56:11] When you give cheerfully, making a little sacrifice, the windows of heaven will open and blessings will pour into your life like you've never seen. Yeah, you can give money. You can also give time. Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Volunteer doing something. Volunteering is great.
[00:56:29] Many times volunteering is more of a sacrifice than giving money.
[00:56:34] But money is really where the rubber meets the road because at the end of the day, most people are attached to money. So when you give money, when you give money to your local church, a local charity, when you give money to the Kevin Trudeau fan club, many people send me gifts. This is an act of giving. And many times I get an envelope that's mailed to me and there's no return address and there's a Visa gift card in there. And I know, I say, you know, the person who did this is giving it anonymously. They're following the rules and they're going to be blessed.
[00:57:12] They're going to be blessed. So the books I do Recommend is number one. Go to kevintradeaufanclub.com or gurucab.com and read the giving lessons.
[00:57:24] Next. Karmic Management.

[00:57:33] And if you have a Christian perspective, you can read the book by Oral Roberts. It's out of print, but I'm sure you can find it on Amazon. It's called the Miracle of Seed Faith.
